Saxenburg Winefarm lies between two mighty oceans, on the southern tip of Africa. Here memory and the seasons conspire with the cellermaster's craft to produce unique wines of consistent and exceptional flavour.
Client requirements: The client required a website that would showcase not only the wines and where to find them, but also the feeling of the winery, the restaurant and his family heritage. He also wanted to use the website as a way to communicate to the general public.
The project: I was responsible for the design as well as development. The information architecture was done by a colleague of mine, who was also the client contact. All photos were provided by the client's photographer.
My comments: It's always difficult when you don't have a lot of say in the Information Architecture part of the process, while you're designing a website. The design process, highlights so many problems along the way and sometimes it can affect the timeline.
